The recently-announced alliance between One Little Earth and children’s book publisher The Little Press was the subject of an in-depth article in Publisher's Weekly on September 14, 2023. The article featured One Little Earth's initiative to publish a series of engaging, high-quality new books about the natural world.
Publisher's Weekly noted that the first book, slated for fall 2024, will be Wonder of the Woods by author–illustrator Bonnie Kelso. Two more projects are underway, including a book on light pollution called Dark Skies and a story about forest fires called Pioneer Tree. All titles will include explanatory back matter to reinforce the science behind the stories.
One Little Earth will purchase 500 copies of each new book and distribute them free of charge to literacy-focused and environmental nonprofits.
