One Little Earth founder Debra Wolf Goldstein recently met with Wissahickon Charter School's CEO Kristi Littell and Director of Development Jane Lachat Walsh to discuss exciting partnerships for 2024. Wissahickon Charter is a K-8 tuition-free public charter school with a strong emphasis on the environment. In addition to contributing to the school's Field Trip Fund (which supports visits to places such as Highland Orchards, Smith Playground, and The Academy of Natural Sciences), One Little Earth will help bring youth-centered environmental films to the school and will donate 100 copies of engaging nature-themed books to classrooms.

GREEN EARTH BOOK AWARDS
The prestigious Green Earth Book Awards recently invited One Little Earth founder Debra Wolf Goldstein to serve on its judging panel. The Green Earth Book Awards, created 20 years ago, is the nation's first environmental stewardship award for children and young adults. It honors and promotes books that inspire youth to grow a deeper understanding, respect, and responsibility for the natural environment. Awards are given in five categories: Children's Fiction, Young Adult Fiction, Children's Non-Fiction, Young Adult Non-Fiction, and Picture Book. Debra will serve on the Picture Book panel.
