One Little Earth recently made a grant to help support the Oklahoma Zoo's successful Making Tracks initiative. Making Tracks has the bold mission of connecting every 3rd grade class in the state with wildlife and wild places. This program, centered around the OKC Zoo’s Expedition Africa habitat, provides a meaningful learning experience for 3rd grade classrooms through an integrative science curriculum designed to meet state and national standards.

Each child who participates in the program will receive a copy of a nature-themed book selected by Zoo educators. One Little Earth welcomes grant applications from other Zoos around the country to support similar "access to wildlife" and environmental literacy programs for underserved communities.
