Who wants to sit inside watching TV all summer when you could be splashing around in a cool stream, turning over mossy rocks, and doing arts & crafts? One Little Earth was pleased to fund five week-long scholarships for underserved children who otherwise couldn't afford to attend camp at Riverbend Environmental Education Center.
Riverbend offers wonderful, high quality nature summer camps at three locations near Gladwyne, PA. But it doesn't come cheap: camp runs $660/week, which puts it out of range for many families. Riverbend offer a number of subsidies and other scholarships, thanks to the generosity of donors and board members, but the need is more than the capacity.
One Little Earth was happy to help 5 lucky kids from underprivileged Philadelphia-area families make wonderful memories this summer!

The event got wonderful media attention, garnering coverage on two different TELEVISION stations that week, including a prime time spot on Channel 6 news!
